Data & Tracking Transparency

Cookie & Tracking Policy

Understand how Bidrit uses cookies and local storage tokens to keep your account secure and remember your marketplace preferences.

01 Overview

1. What Are Cookies and Why We Use Them

Cookies are small encrypted text files placed on your computer or mobile device when you browse websites. On Bidrit, cookies allow you to remain safely signed into your buyer or seller account, save vehicle listings to your wishlist, and verify security tokens.

We do not use invasive third-party cross-site advertising trackers that follow your activity across unrelated websites.

02 Classification

2. The Categories of Cookies We Deploy

Strictly Essential
Authentication & Security

Required for CSRF protection token validation, session ID management, and login persistence. Disabling these prevents platform use.

Functional Preferences
Search & Saved State

Remembers your preferred city filter (e.g. Abuja or Lagos) and preserves your temporary vehicle comparison choices.

03 Browser Controls

3. How You Can Manage Cookie Settings

Most modern browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies through their Privacy and Security preferences.

Please note that blocking essential session cookies will prevent you from signing in to your Bidrit Buyer Dashboard, Seller Portal, or submitting escrow transaction requests.

04 Policy Revisions

4. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may periodically revise this policy as we roll out new marketplace capabilities. The current version will always remain published at this URL. Inquiries can be forwarded to privacy@bidrit.com.
