Terms of Service
The binding agreement governing your access, account rights, and vehicle transactions on the Bidrit marketplace ecosystem.
1. Eligibility to Trade and Transact
By creating a Buyer, Seller, or Agent account on Bidrit, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and possess the legal capacity under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to enter into binding contracts.
You warrant that all information provided during registration—including your full legal name, telephone number, email address, National Identification Number (NIN), and Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) documentation—is true, complete, and up to date. Providing fictitious or borrowed identities results in immediate account termination and permanent blacklisting.
2. The Bidrit Escrow Standard
All remote vehicle transactions initiated on Bidrit are protected through Bidrit Escrow. When a buyer commits funds, they are deposited into a dedicated, segregated custody account. The seller does not receive payout until the vehicle undergoes physical inspection and the buyer issues digital acceptance.
Any attempt by a seller or agent to solicit payments outside the platform (including direct cash, unmonitored bank transfers, or off-site inspection fees) constitutes a material breach of these terms, voiding all buyer protection guarantees and incurring platform penalties.
3. Truth in Advertising and Mechanical Condition
Sellers are strictly forbidden from tampering with odometers, disguising structural flood or collision damage, falsifying customs documentation, or creating duplicate vehicle listings.
Where a vehicle fails a Bidrit 120-Point Inspection due to concealed catastrophic defects, the transaction is cancelled, escrow funds are refunded in full to the buyer, and the inspection fee is debited from the seller's account.
4. Nigerian Jurisdiction and Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising between transacting parties that cannot be resolved through Bidrit Mediation shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory.
